In this project we develop models and data analysis tools to study bioinvasion and to characterize global transportation networks

Topics have been:

• Characterization of the global cargo shipping network
• The risk of marine bioinvasion in the network of global shipping
• The Intermediate Distance Hypothesis of Biological Invasions (or the quarter globe rule)
• Temporal changes of invasion patterns over historical epochs
